Review of 2023 Mazda 6 G25 Touring sedan: Timeless classic with some modern features
Mazda 6 has long been a cornerstone of their local lineup. It is revered for its attractive styling, engaging driving dynamics and comfortable ride.
The 2023 Mazda 6 is attractive, fun, and highly rideable. Still, new features have been added that make this version of Mazda even more enticing.
One of the significant improvements is the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, enabling smartphone owners to easily link to their car’s infotainment system without using cables – an increasingly common convenience found in new cars.
Another exciting new feature is the head-up display. This projection projects vital information onto your windshield, such as speed, navigation directions and safety feature status, making this an invaluable way to keep both hands on the wheel and eyes focused on driving safely.
Mazda 6 owners will also appreciate its 11-speaker Bose sound system, providing outstanding audiophile-grade quality sound reproduction. It is sure to please even the most critical audiophiles!
Mazda 6s retain all of the same features that made them such popular choices in the first place, such as being powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 140kW of power and 252Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission for ample daily driving power.
The Mazda 6 has an impressive array of standard safety features, such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. All these help to make driving the Mazda 6 safer – another reason to choose it as your vehicle!
Overall, the 2023 Mazda 6 is an outstanding car. It’s stylish, fun to drive, comfortable and safe. With new features like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility and Bose sound system thrown into the mix, it becomes even more desirable. If you’re searching for a midsize sedan that offers everything, look no further! The Mazda 6 makes an excellent choice.
Should I Buy a Mazda 6? While the Mazda 6 may be older than other options in our new Australian car market, it still holds its place here. Although some areas require updating, such as its basic infotainment system and powertrain performance, cabin presentation, price point remains unchanged since its debut ten years ago.
There is also plenty of space for families, all the necessary safety features are present, and it comes equipped with sufficient equipment. This Touring model grade provides ample value.
However, its competitors are equally refined; the Skoda Octavia was selected for Drive Car of the Year consideration, while Toyota Camry provides massive space and hybridized powertrain. Unfortunately, we have yet to see such fuel-saving benefits implemented into Mazda 6; offering hybrid options may increase sales comparable to Camry sales figures.
