Bengaluru’s Public Transportation Gets a Green Makeover

The new buses are cutting-edge models with state-of-the-art designs, advanced safety features, and an energy-efficient electric drivetrain.

Bengaluru has taken an essential step toward a more environmentally-friendly future with the launch of 921 electric buses today, unveiled by Shri Ramalinga Reddy, Honorable Minister of Transport from the Government of Karnataka. These new buses were part of an order signed between Tata Motors’ fully-owned subsidiary, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Ltd, and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corp (BMTC).

Furthermore, they are equipped with features to make travel more convenient for passengers, such as comfortable seating arrangements, ease of entry/exit procedures, and an advanced Integrated Transport System (ITS).

Bengaluru will benefit significantly from new electric buses with zero tailpipe emissions; not only will they cut air pollution, but they will also mitigate climate change impacts and create a more sustainable place to live in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru’s public transportation system recently celebrated a significant achievement when it introduced electric buses as part of its public transportation network, marking a commitment towards creating a greener future and improving the quality of life for its residents.

Bengaluru will reap both environmental and economic advantages from adopting electric buses, creating manufacturing and maintenance jobs, and helping reduce dependence on imported fuel imports.

Bengaluru’s recent announcement of new electric buses marks an essential step toward creating a cleaner, greener future and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
